What Educators Are Saying
This unit was so well put together I felt like an expert teaching it. Moreover, my students were engaged from the very beginning – an outcome I have not experienced with our current science textbooks. So thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart! Your work has inspired my students and sparked an interest in science that I had not previously observed.
This course has been a great kick off for students to sparkle and find out their skills and abilities in writing stories or essays. They were interested and excited about the program and the impact they will see in developing their skills. The stories of global students have been so motivational. I noticed that some of their thoughts have been changed throughout the course.
Many students were not aware of the enslavement and eradication of native peoples and they were making connections with other histories of enslavement and mistreatment of groups of people. There were moments of deep discussion on slavery and racism and how they still affect us today.
We ran this as a ‘test’ to see how students would interact with the program and its objectives; all students submitted some excellent feedback and are keen to participate in more. I am hoping to get more students involved in hopefully in one or two other topics, your organization offers when school returns.
It was motivating and appealing to teens. It made them learn at their own pace. They are learning something they chose by themselves, it wasn’t a fixed program, but they selected the theme they are interested in. Also they are already holding their technological devices and feeling comfortable using them. This made the experience even easier and more attractive.
The program was useful, interesting and well-organized. The program has changed my students attitude towards their communities and they realize that they can implement actions regarding Women’s right in their own communities.
