With a background in advertising and Marketing Intelligence, Alida has built her career around understanding what drives effective marketing and how to do it better. Alida’s professional journey has taken her across the UK, Poland, Australia, and Mexico, where she’s had the privilege of working with a range of global brands. Alida believes marketing is at its best when it’s thoughtful, ethical, and culturally aware and gets excited by opportunities that combine data, purpose, and global thinking.

Omar is Global Nomads' Social Media Editor from Egypt. In this role, he is responsible for Global Nomads’ social media presence, content development, and campaigns to boost youth engagement online. Before joining Global Nomads, Omar spent four years in digital marketing working with notable Middle Eastern brands across entertainment, hospitality, and project development. He pivoted toward supporting the youth to apply his creative skills to causes that support marginalized communities. Outside of work, Omar is an avid comic-book reader and gaming enthusiast. Ask him about his favorites and be ready for a long, enthusiastic chat.

Nanzia is committed to creating visual stories that amplify global conversation and have meaningful social impact. Her interest in human-centered design fueled her pursuit of a career focused on social good. Nanzia is motivated by the belief that thoughtful design can bridge cultural divides and empower voices. Her natural affinity for art and culture, developed while growing up in Kenya, directly inspires her work to create positive change. Outside of work, she enjoys drawing, traveling, and exploring diverse art forms.

Sarah, driven by a belief in the power of empathy, began with Global Nomads as a volunteer. With a rich background in youth empowerment, a commitment to positive impact, and an eagerness for collaborative learning, joined the Global Nomads staff in 2023 and is dedicated to fostering innovative and effective cross-cultural engagement for youth around the world.

Sandra is a passionate educator, writer, scholar, and justice advocate who leads staff and youth in the design, delivery, and assessment of Global Nomads unique programs. She is the author of two books on education policy and practice, and her writing has appeared in leading periodicals. She has a doctorate in Education from Stanford University.

Pedro, a Chicago native now in living Mexico, is a linguist and advocate. With a master’s in French and Francophone Studies, he supports migrants, volunteers, and fosters educational interventions. Pedro is passionate about language learning, international exchanges, and advancing Mexico-U.S. relations.

In this role, Nour strengthens Global Nomads’ operational systems, builds cross-team coordination processes, and supports data-driven grant development and fundraising. Before joining Global Nomads, Nour worked with an organization supporting migrant and labor worker rights, serving as a researcher and MEAL Officer. Her background in Sociology and Anthropology informs an intercultural, justice-oriented approach to collaboration. Nour is motivated by a belief in storytelling as a bridge across cultures and lived experiences. Outside of work, Nour photographs everyday life and writes creative nonfiction rooted in memory, identity, and place.

Noor grew up in Amman, Jordan, where she first became passionate about gender equality and social justice. She studied German and English at the University of Jordan before earning a Master’s in Intercultural Management in France and Italy. Her journey with Global Nomads began as a student in 2014, later evolving into roles in program coordination and outreach. Now based in Lisbon, she remains dedicated to fostering dialogue and understanding. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new cultures and ideas.

As Senior Director of Operations, Nicole oversees the organization’s finance, operations, and HR initiatives. She began her career as an intern on Global Nomads’ curriculum development team, and after more than a decade building and implementing programs, she now leads the Operations department with a deep understanding of the organization’s work. She believes that supportive, respectful communities, locally and globally, create opportunities that allow people to thrive, which drives her commitment to Global Nomads’ mission. Outside of work, you can find Nicole curating playlists, traveling, or watching Law & Order: SVU with her pets.

Mays develops and delivers learning experiences that center youth voices, inclusivity, and accessibility. Her role focuses on partner engagement, overseeing implementation, facilitating communication across distance and difference, and ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with the social justice and accessibility standards. Mays brings eight years of experience as an Arabic language educator working with international NGOs, universities, and cultural institutions. She previously led cultural heritage workshops for youth in marginalized communities across Jordan. Mays believes in the power of youth-led learning to shape the future. She values learning and growth, and enjoys discovering the world through meeting new faces and exploring new places.

Martha grew up in Budapest, Hungary. Her love for languages took her to the UK, where she studied Arabic and French. Her journey continued in Amman, where she worked with refugees and deepened her commitment to humanitarian work. Now pursuing a degree in International Humanitarian Action, Martha is dedicated to making a difference through her global perspective. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and painting.

Katie joined Global Nomads Group’s Content Creation Lab with thirteen years of experience in youth-focused curriculum development in higher education, non-profit, and community spaces. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Irvine, where her work focused on the transformative possibilities of environmental justice advocacy.

Kat, a neurodivergent activist from Trinidad and Tobago, is a peer support specialist with expertise in trauma-informed care. Proudly Black-Caribbean, queer, and neurodivergent, Kat advocates for historically excluded communities and is dedicated to equity. They find joy in assisting others in creating a world that embraces their unique narratives.

Courtney is a seasoned leader in the public and nonprofit sectors. She was a founding member and Chief Operating Officer of the NYC Leadership Academy, and has consulted for organizations such as the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative and the Aspen Institute. Courtney holds a M.Ed. from Harvard University and an executive level certificate from Columbia Graduate School of Business.

Cindy connects schools, educators, and learners around the world through youth-centered virtual exchange. A historian by training and educator at heart, her work focuses on fostering cross-cultural understanding through accessible and engaging learning opportunities. She has more than ten years of experience as an educator and teacher trainer, collaborating with educators and learning from shared practice. She believes young people learn best when they engage with peers across cultures and that adults learn just as much from their insights. She enjoys cooking and exploring cultures through their food.

Christine began her career with Global Nomads Group as a community associate. She spent time as a partnerships manager at Humanitas Technologies, where she worked on a youth-facing, community improvement mobile app. She then rejoined Global Nomads Group in 2019 and now leads the organization’s recruitment and partnerships initiatives.
